Tsiskvili Group to Open a New Restaurant in Saburtalo
April is starting with good news for the Georgian gastronomic scene. One of Tsiskvili Group’s most famous restaurants, Beer Square, will be opening a new branch soon. The new Tsiskvili restaurant in Tbilisi will open its doors in Saburtalo, at 27 Aleksandre Kazbegi Avenue on April 5, 2026.
The first Beer Square opened in 2004, on the Beliashvili Tsiskvili complex territory. From the very start, the team was aiming to create something completely new for the Tbilisi hospitality industry: bring together the concepts of a classic European pub and a traditional Georgian restaurant, and do so in a way that fully satisfies modern, 21-st century industry standards.
Tsiskvili Group entered the hospitality industry in 2002 and has long earned customers’ trust after more than two decades of dedicated service. The team’s main goal is to preserve Georgian culinary heritage, share it with a wider audience, and give guests the highest standard of service.
Today, Tsiskvili Group runs eight restaurants, each with a different concept. Particularly notable among them are Ethno Tsiskvili, built around traditional Georgian elements, the modern fusion space Terrace, and Theatre, a restaurant with a unique SHOW & DINNER concept.
The new Beer Square restaurant in Saburtalo is going to be able to host up to 200 guests. Its two-floor interior and enclosed terrace have been designed in a way to be able to comfortably host multiple groups at once, regardless of the goal. It’s a space for casual get-togethers as well as for business lunches.
Older customers will recognize the already familiar special Tsiskvili signature details in the design. The mix of wood, glass, and metal, together with warm colors, creates a cosy setting. Historical posters depicting various beer-related topics give the space a more unique character. It was important to the team to create a place where local residents, foreign visitors, and corporate guests would all feel equally at ease. The ultimate goal is for people to point at Beer Square when looking for the best Georgian pub in Saburtalo.
The main highlight of Beer Square Saburtalo is its open and closed grill, the Josper. Its construction allows it to “hold” the smoke and, as a result, meat, fish, and vegetables get an intense smoky aroma. The high temperature instantly caramelizes the outer layer, sealing the surface and helping the meat keep the juices in. The resulting dishes are especially juicy and tender inside.
Tsiskvili’s chefs use this Josper to cook one of the most varied Georgian grill menus in the city - lamb shoulder, traditional kebab and mtsvadi, pork and veal ribs, and vegetables - over open fire. The selection also includes seafood, a less common option in run-of-the-mill Georgian beer halls. Guests will find crispy calamari rings, salmon steak, fried trout, and dorado on the menu. If you’d like to try several items at once, you should opt for ordering one of the boards. The options include fish, sausage, hot dog, and vegetable boards.
The Saburtalo Beer Square menu will also offer traditional Georgian cuisine, including kalakuri (city-style), mtiuluri (mountain-style), cheese, and mushroom khinkali. Guests will also be able to enjoy other classic Tsiskvili dishes like chef’s signature salads, shkmeruli, ostri, and kupati. Pastry will also be baked fresh on site, including several types of khachapuri, kubdari, lobiani, and Kakhetian shoti.
Those who prefer vegan dishes will also have a variety of dishes to choose from: several kinds of pkhali, beans, ajapsandali, eggplant with walnuts, etc. Tsiskvili’s chefs use only fresh local ingredients when preparing their food.
And of course, as this is a pub first and foremost, the most important part of the menu is the drinks. Beer Square will welcome guests looking for craft beer in Saburtalo with a premium selection of German, Austrian, Czech, and other European beers, including Warsteiner, Schöfferhofer, Benediktiner, Stiegl, Pilsner, etc.
Events have become a crucial part of daily life at Beer Square on Beliashvili. The best-known and largest event it hosts is Beer Days. Tsiskvili Group has been holding the festival dedicated to beer every October for several years now. During this time, guests get to enjoy a large part of the beer menu at a special discount. The format has been unshakably popular for years and continues to draw ever growing crowds each autumn. In 2026, Saburtalo branch will also welcome beer lovers to enjoy the event.
At the moment, the team is actively working on the final details. Soon, guests will be able to experience the new space and try the menu for themselves. Tsiskvili’s Beer Square in Saburtalo will be open for visits from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with the restaurant continuing operating until 1:00 a.m. after the kitchen closes. The team is ready to bring the warm, enjoyable experience people have gotten used to from Tsiskvili restaurants to the new address. Keep your calendars open: just a few more days and you’ll be able to make a Tsiskvili Saburtalo reservation.
