Georgian Song and National Dance Program
Georgia's cultural heritage, shaped over centuries, stands out in visitors’ eyes with its diversity and depth. One of such standout elements is local folklore, including traditional dances and songs.
The "Tsiskvili Group" restaurants offer visitors a unique opportunity — while you’re enjoying the best versions of traditional Georgian dishes, you get to experience live performances of Georgian song and dance.
Georgian Dance and Song as a Phenomenon
Georgian dance is a unique choreographic art form that combines dynamism, plasticity, and dramatic expression. Each type of dance is a small-scale reflection of Georgia’s diverse landscape — dances from the mountainous regions are characterized by sharp and energetic movements, while dances from the plains are refined and graceful. Each region's dance is unique, showcasing local traditions and ways of life.
Georgian song, especially polyphonic singing, is inscribed on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. This musical tradition, dating back centuries, is known for its complex harmonies and unique sounds.
